This work attains the objective of providing a theoretical background on the nature of developing Comprehensive Sexuality Education. The need for exploring this topic emerges from the authors’ interest for the necessity of providing young people with the appropriate knowledge and lifelong skills and a sense of social responsibility and solidarity to make conscious, healthy and respectful choices in their social and sexual lives, encouraging critical thinking and communication.
